47 Tucanae and Comet C/2014 Q2 (Lovejoy)

I was out at our dark sky site with good friends from Macarthur Astronomical Society, testing my LX-90 in polar mode with the equatorial wedge on Monday night (15th December 2014).

Observing time was limited, due to the late sunset and my inexperience with polar aligning the telescope but I managed these two shots which are not exactly spectacular but they are a tenfold improvement on what I could get using alt-az mode.

Afterwards I also learned how to stack the comet images to freeze the motion of the comet instead of the stars.
