Spindle Galaxy

Picture saved with settings applied.

Another image from the front driveway. NGC 3115 is an ‘edge on’ lenticular galaxy, apparent size 7.2 x 2.4 arc-minutes (although in this image it is presumably a bit smaller).

It is located in Sextans at a distance of thirty-two million light-years.

Image consists of forty-one x 15 sec shots, 2000mm, f/10, ISO 6400, stacked in Deep Sky Stacker. Meade Lx-90 telescope, Canon 60D camera.
