Sunspot Revisited

Yesterday’s post showed the visibility of the setting sun, with a large sunspot (AR2546) due to the smoke produced by hazard reduction burn-offs in the Blue Mountains It inspired me to shoot the sun during the day today.

First with the camera on a tripod, with a telescope solar filter handheld in front of the 200m lens and the second with my solar telescope.

The third image was taken after sunset tonight, showing the burn-off still continuing.
