Globular Cluster, 47 Tucanae

A bright globular cluster, located 18º from the South Celestial Pole, so this beautiful object is not visible to observers in Europe or North America.

2016-09-28 47 Tucanae 5x30sec 2000mm f/10 0.62 ISO 6400

Distance: about 16,700 light years.
Magnitude: +3.95
The second brightest object of this type in the sky.

Taken from light polluted suburban sky in SW Sydney, I hope to obtain an even better image of this object next time I am out in a dark sky field.
