2017-05-25: Comet C2015/V2 (Johnson) – the fuzzy object lower right of centre – rising through the light pollution of Campbelltown and Sydney, in the North Eastern sky, as it passed through the constellation of Bootes.
30 seconds exposure, 200 mm lens on Canon EOS 60D camera at f/3.5, ISO 2000.
The image was taken at The Oaks, NSW on a Macarthur Astronomical Society field night.
The bright star at the top is Izar, magnitude 2.5. The faintest stars in the image are estimated at around mag 10 or 11.
