I was hoping for an astronomy session under the stars this particular night – but during the day the weather outlook changed from “clear” to “severe storms” and the result was a light show of a very different kind, lasting two hours.
I was disappointed about the astronomy cancellation but – not to worry – imaging lightning strikes is my second photographic passion!

Those are impressive. I grew up on a farm in mid-US. Approaching storms were always fun to watch.
